Terms of Use

Sudoku - Mind Puzzle

Effective 24 September 2026. This replaces the version dated 20 September 2026.

The short version. The game is free to play and paid for by advertising. You can optionally subscribe to Zen Pass or VIP Zen Pass, or buy things outright.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel through Apple or Google, not through us — and deleting the app does not cancel anything. Subscribing removes banner ads and the full-screen ads between puzzles; optional rewarded videos remain if you choose to watch them. Themes unlocked by a subscription are yours while it is active; themes you buy outright are yours permanently. Hints, skips and continues are unlimited for subscribers. AutoFill and Smart Eliminate are a set number each cycle, not unlimited.

1. Agreeing to these terms

Sudoku - Mind Puzzle ("the app") is published by ChillWithNaFu Games LLC ("we", "us"), a Michigan limited liability company at 2222 W Grand River Ave, Ste A, Okemos, MI 48864, United States. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

How we handle information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

You need to be old enough to enter into a contract where you live in order to make a purchase. The app is a general-audience game and is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that age is higher.

2. Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment.

The app, its artwork, themes, puzzle generation, sounds, text and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app; reverse-engineer, decompile or extract its source code; create derivative versions; or remove any notices from it.

3. No account, and what that means

The app has no login and no account. That keeps things simple, and there are consequences worth knowing:

4. Advertising

The free version of the app is supported by advertising, delivered through Appodeal's mediation service and the ad networks listed in our Privacy Policy. You may see:

An active subscription, or the separate ad-removal upgrade if it is offered, removes banner ads and the full-screen ads between puzzles. Optional rewarded video remains available. We describe this as removing banners and between-puzzle ads rather than as "no ads", because rewarded video is still there if you want it. Where we offer it, an exhausted subscriber may also choose to watch a rewarded video to top up an AutoFill or Smart Eliminate.

We do not control the content of individual ads. If you see something inappropriate, tell us and we will pass it to the network.

5. Purchases and virtual items

The app offers optional purchases. What is on sale changes over time, and not every product is offered at all times or in every country. Whatever is available is shown in the in-app store with its price.

Broadly, there are three kinds:

Prices

The price is always shown in your local currency before you confirm. Prices are set per country and can change; the price you pay is the one displayed at the moment you confirm the purchase. All payments are taken by Apple or Google, never by us.

Virtual items are a licence, not property

Although the app uses words like "buy", "earn" and "own", you do not legally own virtual items. You are paying for a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them inside the app. Virtual items have no real-world value. They cannot be sold, traded, gifted, transferred between accounts or platforms, or exchanged for money or anything else of value. We may add, change, suspend or retire virtual items, and we may stop offering a product at any time. If we retire something you have already paid for outright, we will not remove it from you without a genuine reason such as a legal requirement or fraud.

6. Subscriptions

Sudoku - Mind Puzzle offers two auto-renewing subscriptions: Zen Pass and VIP Zen Pass.

Plans and prices

PlanBilling periodPrice (United States)
Zen PassMonthly$3.99 per month
Zen PassYearly$19.99 per year
VIP Zen PassMonthly$5.99 per month
VIP Zen PassYearly$29.99 per year

Prices in other countries are set by the store and shown in your own currency before you confirm. Weekly plans exist and may be offered from time to time; they are not currently on sale, and anyone already on a weekly plan keeps it and can manage it normally. Not every plan is offered at all times or in every country.

What a subscription includes

Premium themes unlocked1224, including the 12 VIP themes with animated backdrops
Smart Themes (separate light and dark themes)IncludedIncluded

AutoFill and Smart EliminateA set allowance each cycle — see below

AutoFill and Smart Eliminate are metered, not unlimited

This is the one benefit that is not unlimited, so it is worth being precise about. Each cycle your plan grants a fixed number of AutoFills and Smart Eliminates:

PlanAutoFills per cycleSmart Eliminates per cycleCycle length
Zen Pass Monthly103Every 30 days
Zen Pass Yearly124Every 30 days
VIP Zen Pass Monthly155Every 30 days
VIP Zen Pass Yearly186Every 30 days
Zen Pass Weekly (not currently offered)21Every 7 days
VIP Zen Pass Weekly (not currently offered)31Every 7 days

Two details that matter:

Any AutoFills or Smart Eliminates you bought separately as power-up packs are kept apart from the subscription allowance, are used only after the allowance runs out, and are not affected when the subscription ends.

Free trials

A free trial is offered on some plans. At the time of writing that is 7 days on the monthly and yearly plans. Trials are configured and controlled entirely by Apple and Google, not by us:

Whatever trial is actually available to you is shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. Trust that screen over this page — it reads the real offer from the store.

Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically for the same plan and price at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged at or shortly before that point, unless you turn off auto-renewal: (i) on the App Store, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, or (ii) on Google Play, at any time before the end of the current period.

Cancelling

You cancel through the store, not through us. We have no ability to cancel a subscription on your behalf.

The "Manage Subscription" button in the app opens these screens for you.

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. It keeps renewing and you keep being charged. Cancel through the store first, then delete the app if you wish.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep every benefit until then, and there is no partial refund for the remainder.

What happens when a subscription ends

When your subscription lapses, expires or is cancelled and the paid period runs out:

This is what we mean by saying subscription themes are included with a subscription rather than bought: your access to them lasts as long as the subscription does. Themes purchased outright are permanent.

If a renewal payment fails, the store may retry for a period during which your benefits can continue. The app also allows a short grace window of 48 hours past the expiry date before benefits are withdrawn, so a late renewal does not interrupt your game.

Changing plans

You can switch between Zen Pass and VIP Zen Pass, or between billing periods, through the store. Upgrading to VIP unlocks the VIP themes and tops your AutoFill and Smart Eliminate allowance up to the higher tier's level for the current cycle. Downgrading takes effect as the store applies it; VIP-only themes re-lock, and your allowance is reduced to the lower tier's level rather than topped up again. Changing plans does not start a new allowance cycle — your existing cycle continues to its normal refresh date.

Price changes

If we change the price of a subscription, the store will tell you in advance. Where your agreement is required, the subscription will not renew at the new price unless you agree; if you do not, it ends at the close of the current period.

Changes to what a subscription includes

We may add to, change or remove subscription benefits over time as the game develops. We will not reduce what your current paid period includes. Where a change materially reduces what a subscription offers, we will give notice before it applies to a future period, so you can cancel if you would rather not continue.

7. Refunds and cancellation rights

Apple and Google are the merchants of record for everything sold in the app. They take the payment, they issue receipts, and they handle refunds — we are not able to issue one.

If something in the app went wrong, tell us anyway — we cannot refund you, but we can fix the problem and we can tell you what to say to the store.

If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the thing it paid for is withdrawn. The app checks with the store from time to time to confirm your purchases are still valid. If the store stops confirming a subscription — because it was refunded, charged back, or has genuinely ended — the benefits in section 6 are removed. The app deliberately waits for more than one negative answer before doing this, and treats a store it cannot reach as "still valid", so a flaky connection does not cost you anything you paid for.

If you live in the EU, EEA or the UK

You have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days. To use it, send a clear statement of your decision before the 14 days are up. Because Apple or Google took your payment, send that statement to them — they carry out the refund. You may also email us at chillwithnafu@gmail.com and we will help you direct it correctly. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.

If you live in California

Subscriptions in this app are automatic renewal offers. The plan, its price, its billing period and the fact that it renews automatically are all shown to you on the purchase screen before you confirm, and are set out in section 6 above. You may cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings, as described above, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

8. Apple- and Google-required terms

These terms are required by Apple for apps distributed on the App Store. They apply if you got the app from the App Store.

  1. This agreement is with us, not Apple. These terms are between you and ChillWithNaFu Games LLC. Apple is not a party to them and is not responsible for the app or its content.
  2. Scope of licence. Your licence to use the app is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  3. Support. We are solely responsible for support and maintenance. Apple has no obligation to provide either. Email chillwithnafu@gmail.com for help.
  4. Warranty. We disclaim all warranties to the extent the law allows. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that does apply, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
  5. Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  6. Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Developer contact. ChillWithNaFu Games LLC, 2222 W Grand River Ave, Ste A, Okemos, MI 48864, United States, chillwithnafu@gmail.com. Contact us here with any question, complaint or claim about the app.
  9. Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app — see section 9.
  10. Apple as third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance of them Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

If you got the app from Google Play, Google's Play Terms of Service and payment terms apply to your purchase and to any refund, and Google is likewise not a party to these terms.

9. Other companies' terms

Using the app also means using services provided by others, each under its own terms:

The full list of advertising partners, with links to each one's privacy policy, is in our Privacy Policy. Where those terms conflict with ours on something they govern — payment, refunds, subscription management — theirs apply.

10. What you agree not to do

Using a jailbroken or rooted device is at your own risk: it can expose the device to malware and can stop purchase verification working correctly, and we cannot be responsible for either.

11. Disclaimers and limits on liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We are not responsible for: your internet connection, mobile data charges or roaming fees; battery use; the accuracy or content of information supplied by third parties, including advertisements; or loss of local game data caused by uninstalling the app, device failure, or a device backup you cannot restore.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through the app in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights the law of your country gives you, and nothing here overrides them.

12. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update the app, change features, and add or remove content. Some updates are required for the app to keep working. We may also stop offering the app; if we do, we will give notice where we reasonably can.

If we withdraw the app or shut down a subscription while yours is still running, we will stop new renewals so you are not charged again, and we will tell you how to cancel and seek a refund from Apple or Google for any period you have paid for but cannot use. Your consumer rights in your own country are unaffected.

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top always tells you which version you are reading. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Ending this agreement

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app — but remember that deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that through the store first.

We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms, for example by tampering with the app to obtain purchases you have not paid for. Sections covering virtual items, disclaimers, limits on liability and the general clauses below survive the end of this agreement.

14. General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the app. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over our business, provided your rights are not reduced. Neither of us is responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not use or export the app except as permitted by U.S. law and the laws of the place where you obtained it.
